Half & Half
Half internationals, half Russians: one table, two languages, real conversation.
An evening for the meeting that's surprisingly hard to make happen in Moscow: internationals and Russians at the same table, actually talking.
We aim for a table that's about half and half, and the hosts move the conversation between English and Russian, so nobody needs to be fluent to take part.
Who it's for
- Internationals who want Russian friends, not just Russian lessons
- Russians who want to meet people from around the world
- Anyone practising English or Russian who would rather do it over dinner than in a classroom
What happens
- A small, hosted table mixed on purpose: internationals and Russians side by side
- Conversation in English and Russian, switching as the evening goes
- Hosts who make the introductions and help out when a word goes missing

This is an interest list, not a reservation.
Good to know
- Joining this interest list doesn't reserve a place: when a date is announced, you request a place for that evening.
- You don't need good Russian or good English. Beginners are welcome on both sides.
- It's a social evening, not a lesson: no teacher and no homework.

Questions
Do I need to speak Russian?
No. The evening runs in both languages and the hosts help bridge the gap. A few words of Russian are a bonus, not a requirement.
Is this a language exchange?
In spirit, yes, but small and hosted: a table at a venue we chose, with introductions, rather than a crowded room.
Is joining the interest list a booking?
No. We email you when a date is announced, and you then request a place for that evening like everyone else.
