The city is easier with your people in it.

Moscow can be an extraordinary city, but finding your people often takes longer than finding your way around. Moscow Expat Events creates smaller, better gatherings that make the city easier to enter, explore, and enjoy.

What we believe

Small groups make better conversations

Five to twenty-five people. Enough for energy, small enough that nobody disappears into the crowd.

Places matter

We select venues we would return to ourselves — independent restaurants, bars, and cultural spaces, not function rooms.

Hosting is a craft

Someone greets you, learns your name, and makes the introductions. Arriving alone is the normal case here.

The team

MEE is run by a small independent team — the same people who plan the events are the ones welcoming you at the door.

  • Founder & Systems Lead

Direction, website, event systems, and technology

  • Julia Falfouchinskaya smiling on a seaside promenade

    Julia Falfouchinskaya

    Finance & Public-Facing Co-Host

Julia keeps MEE running behind the scenes — finance, partnerships, and the details that make an event feel effortless. A finance professional and CFO by trade, she is also one of the first faces you'll meet at the door.

    Roman

    Community & Venue Partnerships

Roman builds MEE's venue relationships — finding the restaurants, bars, and independent spaces worth gathering in — and hosts the evenings that bring people back. If MEE takes you somewhere great, there's a good chance Roman found it first.

Independent, with good tools

Moscow Expat Events is an independent community brand. We choose the venues, produce the events, and answer to the people at the table — nobody else.

Behind the scenes, Staffless is our technology partner. At participating venues, its Live Shelf experience lets guests browse the event menu, order from their phone, and use event benefits — so hosts can host and venues can see what an evening actually brought them.

Come alone. We’ll make the introductions.

The easiest way to see what MEE is like is to come to one evening.
